ABUSE BY A FAMILY MEMBER
VAWA VISA (ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT):
The VAWA Visa allows survivors of abuse by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse or partner to apply for legal status without the need for the abuser’s support while remaining in the United States. This applies to both women and men who have suffered physical or emotional violence.
